Hi, i'm Jenny!
I’m an artist, maker, and founder of Fancy Little Notions! Thank you for visiting my corner of the design world, and I’m so glad you’re here! Creativity has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been drawn to the joy of making things by hand. I graduated from Amherst College in with a BA in Political Science. Art was calling my name, so I pivoted my career path and launched a small jewelry business. You can see some of my handcrafted wearable art pieces using semi-precious stones, glass, and metal below.
Over a decade ago, I stumbled into a quilt show in Fort Collins, Colorado, and that’s when I truly caught the sewing bug. Since then, I’ve completed hundreds of sewing projects, and I always have more ideas in mind! I create limited-edition, bespoke textile art for collectors. My work has been recognized by fabric designers, quilt guilds, and fellow artists, and I have earned awards for sewing projects. I love passing on my craft through private sewing lessons for peers and the next generation of makers.
Most recently, I graduated in 2025 with a certificate in Graphic Design from UCLA Extension’s Design Communication Arts program, and I even designed my own logo. I’ve started drafting my own sewing patterns and collaborating with clients on custom graphic design projects. Now, I’m excited to take my work online, grow Fancy Little Notions, and step into the world of surface pattern design!
